Added
- Song Mode transitions let you set mode, length, curve, phase, pattern, tail, and blend defaults from the Morph control, with overrides for individual cables.
- Song Mode transitions now work in the browser and when entering preset nodes, including the destination preset's selected variation.
- The Bar Sync menu now lets you choose a Variation Morph curve and saves its length, mode, and curve with your preset.
- The piano roll toolbar shows the current root and scale and opens the scale menu directly.
- The CTRL view's Sampler/Synth section now opens in a separate window.
- Pack installs now queue, so you can select more packs while another download is running.
- The Gain effect's clip character selector is back with OFF, Silicon, Germanium, and LED options, while older presets keep their Silicon sound.
Changed
- Centered drum tuning puts C4 at twelve o'clock on pitched Drum Synth Tune knobs while preserving the pitch of older presets and projects. Kick, 808, and Cowbell keep their own tuning range so their knobs stay fine enough to dial in, and resetting one lands on a usable drum pitch.
- Pressing Looper Record with no tracks armed now records all eight tracks; arm individual tracks first to record a subset.
Improved
- The envelope pitch resonator now follows Global Tuning, and Notochord follows your active scale.
- Drum Synth knobs now respond to LFOs, envelopes, macros, and automation while voices are still ringing.
- Drum Synth randomize keeps every engine at its own pitch, so a rolled kick stays a low kick and a rolled bell stays a bell. It also uses more engine types and spreads modulation across more synth and effect controls.
- Switching a cell's Drum Synth engine now gives you that engine's own sound. Controls you changed yourself come across at the same value, so a 250 ms decay stays 250 ms on an engine with a different decay range; controls you left alone start from the new engine's defaults.
- Visuals now glide with the audio during Variation Morph transitions.
- Song Mode is easier to follow with brighter path cables, a green active cable, a cable-style key, and a single progress border around the playing node.
- The Limiter panel and detached window now use a more compact layout.
Fixed
- Zap's Sweep, Noise, and Tone controls now match their labels; presets using these controls may sound different.
- A drawn Drum Synth amp envelope no longer follows you to a different engine or survives a randomize, and clearing a cell's Drum Synth now clears it.
- A drawn amp envelope keeps shaping its cell after you load a sound into another cell, instead of staying on screen while going silent until you dragged one of its points.
- Looper Auto Select now starts with a visible quarter-loop region, and Clear All Selections keeps every track cleared.
- Your drawn Looper selection now stays saved while Auto Select cycles and returns when you turn Auto Select off.
- Switching the master clipper on or off no longer interrupts playback and now glides between the clean and clipped signals.
- Auditioning a slice now plays it from start to finish. Previews used to stop after half a second, so anything longer was cut off partway through, and slices played slower by Stretch or a downward Pitch were cut even sooner.
- The Shaker Drum Synth engine has a new icon that reads as a shaker.
- The Varispeed badge on the Pitch knob draws its whole disc; its right edge used to be cut off.
- A cell name too long for its header ends in an ellipsis instead of breaking off mid-word.
- Tight value boxes keep their last character: the Drum Synth tuning readout, the CTRL crossfader's cell numbers, and Auto Mix's Max trim, Max boost, and React fields.
- EQ-8 band points stay where you drop them. Dragging a band and releasing used to snap it back to where it started.

Changed
- Sample-Exact Queued Variations is now a standard feature, on by default: queued changes switch exactly on the bar and the previous variation's effect tails ring out through the change.
Fixed
- Stability updates for preset loading and saving

Added
- SEQ morph: a fourth transition mode for Song Mode cables. Params glide as in PARAM mode while the patterns dissolve step by step — the old section's notes lose trigger probability as the new section's notes gain it, landing on the new pattern at the boundary. Works in live playback and offline song exports.
- ALL morph: every transition layer at once. Params glide, patterns dissolve, and the new section's audio blends in over the window. Offline song exports render the glide and dissolve; the blend still switches at the boundary.
- A LOG morph curve (fast start, easing into the target) joins Linear, Ease, and Exp.
- Stab, an 18th drum-synth engine: four oscillators morphing triangle-to-saw-to-pulse, stacked as a unison or a chord (octaves, fifths, sus4, minor, major, minor-7th) with a detune spread — rave stabs, hoover-style unison, and acid bass from one pad. Plays chromatically via the Pitch transpose and the pitch lane, and the kit randomizer can land on it. With a global scale or tuning table active, each chord tone snaps to the scale and takes its own tuning offset, so stacked chords stay in key.
- VX Shader alpha
Fixed
- Offline song exports switch sections the way live playback does: the incoming section starts at the boundary at full level and the outgoing section fades over the crossfade time. With a crossfade set, Param morphs now glide through their whole window; they used to jump to their targets half a crossfade early.
- Offline song video exports now carry Morph Progress: VX layers and shaders bound to it animate section transitions in the rendered file the same way they do during live playback.
- Cmd+S in the VX window now saves the live scene into the current slot first, so slot switches no longer revert unsaved edits.

Added
- Auto morph: a cable set to AUTO picks its own transition, using a Param glide when sections share samples and synths and a Mix blend when they change; set PARAM or MIX to override.
- Offline song exports now render Param morphs; Mix blends still switch directly at each section boundary.
- Morph Progress, a new PAM VX modulation source that ramps from 0 to 1 across a section transition.
- Variation morph: right-click the bar-sync clock and set a Morph length next to Crossfade, and queued variation switches glide over that many bars.
- Video regions: trim a VX video layer to just the part you want and play it forward, reversed, looping, or ping-pong.
- The Mirror effect now has a Mode (Kaleido, Mirror H/V, Quadrant, or Flip H/V) and a Mix amount.
- Three new Lighting modes for 3D layers: Rim (backlit silhouette), Dramatic (hard side light), and Duo (two-color complementary).
Improved
- Visual randomize now plans the scene before it rolls: colors follow a shared palette with one accent, and Song Mode sections get scenes matched to their energy.
- Randomizing samples and editing them (trim, reverse, normalize, replace) now swaps audio in place without interrupting playback, and randomize runs in the background so the interface stays responsive.
- The Visual and Song randomizer panels open with their settings collapsed to one-line summaries; click a row to expand it.
- Cables that follow the song's default morph length can now choose their own Mode and Curve.
- The Song Mode header's Morph control is now a knob that lines up with the keys beside it.
- Hover any VX effect or layer slider for a one-line description of what it does.
- The VX effect picker groups effects by category: color, blur, geometry, glitch, texture, motion, temporal, and reactive.
- VX layer rows select on the first click and expand on the second, with column layouts and per-row opacity faders when the panel is wide.
- Song Mode nodes show their VX scene as a thumbnail, and the preset palette lists VX scenes with search alongside audio presets.
- The VX dice now draws real scenes from your library, matched by tag.
Fixed
- Genre hints like "garage" and "lo-fi" now pick matching samples and patterns together instead of splitting between styles.
- The ParamSeq dice no longer rewrites a cell's slice pattern when the loaded sample is a one-shot.
- Entering a song section whose VX scene uses a large 3D model could freeze the visuals for several bars.
- Loading a VX scene could shrink the canvas or toggle the side panels.
- Exported VX scene bundles left out media used only in variation slots, so those layers imported empty.

Added
- Lock Master FX — a General Settings toggle that keeps your master effect settings (EQ, Punch, Squeeze, Tape, Iron, Clipper, Limiter) when loading presets or switching variations, the way main volume already persists.
- Song Mode morph — connections between sections can now glide the sound from one section into the next over a set number of bars. Give a cable its own morph length, or set one default for the whole song. Pick a Param glide or a Mix blend for each transition. The timeline marks each morph window and fills it with live progress during playback, and the Phase and Morph controls sit directly in the Song Mode header. Morphs play during live playback and live captures; offline song exports still switch sections directly at each boundary.
Improved
- Mixer peak markers and clip lights now catch brief transients that the smooth level bar can miss.
- Presets and variations now load faster, especially when a variation keeps the same signal routing.
- Modulated knobs in compact effect racks keep a small mod badge without moving or covering the control.
Fixed
- Randomizing envelopes could cut the sound off — silencing a channel, truncating samples, or closing a filter it had just enabled. Envelope depth now stays within the link's strength setting, and randomized envelopes avoid targets that mute playback.
- Envelope edits and randomizes now apply without briefly interrupting playback.
- Moving, renaming, or deleting samples now updates cells, variations, and Looper tracks across macOS and Windows, while older absolute paths reconnect to library samples.
- Older presets and variations no longer carry omitted sound, sequence, or master settings over from the previous state.
- A failed sound-engine update could crash the host; PAM now recovers and keeps playing.
- Starting a new preset now unloads the current Song Mode arrangement after saving pending song edits.
- The looper's live recording waveform no longer freezes partway through a take when takes are chained back-to-back or Always Listen is toggled during recording.
- Live recording waveforms draw with less overhead during long multi-track recordings and use the same layered envelope look as the cell waveforms.
- While a queued looper recording waits for the bar, the track keeps showing its clip waveform, playhead, and selection under the waiting notice instead of going blank.
- Recording started from the MCP bridge now shows the live waveform and progress on the looper timeline.

Added
- Auto Mix — enable it under Settings > Experimental to keep cell levels balanced with separate Max trim and Max boost limits while every signed move stays visible. Mix Assist shows every measured cell spectrum and draws dashed per-cell EQ suggestions; the standing rider changes levels only, and low-dominant kick and bass cells keep their broad low band.
- Loudness panel — click the LUFS number on the master strip for full loudness, dynamics, and true-peak metering, plus an assistant that suggests, previews, and applies master moves toward your chosen loudness target.
- Master EQ — a master-bus EQ with input trim, tilt, shelves, and four dynamic bells you shape directly on a live spectrum, plus width and bass-mono utilities.
- Clipper — an oversampled soft clipper ahead of the limiter, with a Smooth shape and three diode characters.
- Gain clip — the Gain effect gets a clip stage after its level trim: drive into a silicon, germanium, or LED diode ceiling to keep modulated spikes in check.
- Tape Studio mode — a fourth, clean tape character that models the magnetic recording process itself, with Wear picking the tape formulation.
- Iron — a console/transformer colour stage between Tape and the clipper, with its own power button on the master strip.
- 16-bit exports now apply dither, and every bounce reports its measured loudness in the export panel.
- Retrigger roll shaping — modulatable Decay and Ramp knobs in the Retrig right-click menu shape repeats from fading to building and slowing to speeding.
- Song Mode header redesign — the arrangement view now shares PAM's transport and adds a song bar with save, shuffle, and rename that works like the preset bar.
- Undo and redo arrows now sit under the Song Mode title and light up only when there is something to undo or redo.
- Narrow Song Mode windows tuck the secondary header controls into an overflow menu.
- Randomize Views — right-click the header view buttons to open and tile a composition of detached windows from whatever is alive in your patch; picking it again rolls a new arrangement.
Changed
- VX media files are no longer limited to 100 MB — large videos, images, and 3D models copy into the library in the background and stream from disk during playback.
Fixed
- Applying a Mix Assist suggestion twice from the same analysis stacked the correction; SUGGEST now asks for a fresh ANALYZE after an apply.
- Mix Assist compressor suggestions now account for the cell fader, so turned-down cells no longer come out over-compressed.
- The Mix Assist ANALYZE button could stay stuck on "analyzing…" while an export was running or when no cell had a sound source.
- Turning the Auto Mix experiment off while KEEP was on erased the mix KEEP was holding.
- The animated outline in Song Mode stayed on the last box you double-clicked instead of following the playing section.
- Saved VX variations didn't show up in Song Mode once any scene file existed in the library.
- Typing in the Export Song dialog could drop keystrokes and trigger shortcuts behind the dialog.

Added
- Double buffering for Song Mode
- Randomizer updates
- Export Song — a new Export button in the Song Mode header opens a dialog where you name the take, set the length in bars (pre-filled from your arrangement), and choose Normalize. The song renders LIVE from the top, so every section, variation, and preset switch lands exactly as it plays. With visuals in your VX scene you can export Audio + Video in your chosen codec (WebM/MP4/MOV) — the VX scene is filmed along with the master mix and saved as one file; without visuals it captures a WAV of the master mix.
- VX capture now runs through a single Record panel — the separate Export dialog is gone. Click Record in the VX header, pick a mode, set a length in seconds or bars (the two follow each other with the tempo), and go. Hover any control for a hint.
- Live mode records your performance: the canvas is filmed while the real master output is recorded alongside — what you hear is what you get, transport stops and knob rides included. The audio take is also kept as a WAV under
VX/Resamples, so you can load it back into a cell or the looper later. - Offline mode renders your arrangement from bar 1 with frame-exact timing — any resolution, no dropped frames, even with the window hidden — with encoder, resolution, bitrate, and save options.
- Move VX layers directly on the canvas — with a layer selected, drag to position it and scroll to resize it (scroll up = larger). On 3D layers, hold ⌘/Ctrl while dragging or scrolling to orbit and zoom the camera as before.
- VX layer sliders (position, scale, rotation, opacity) now carry the same randomize lock as effect sliders — lock a value and it survives random re-rolls. Opacity starts locked, so randomizing a layer never silently fades it unless you unlock it.
- Export a VX scene as a single portable
.zipwith its media bundled in, and import it back media-and-all.
Fixed
- Some mixer and small ui issues
- VX scenes now keep their images, videos, and 3D models in a media library, so a scene reliably reloads its media in every window and across copy/paste.
- VX video layers could freeze after their first play-through.
- Saved VX recordings used to bounce their audio from the top of the arrangement, so the sound could disagree with what the visuals showed — recordings now carry the audio you actually played.
- Reordering routes in the VX Routes panel, and using a custom
httpsmedia URL in the VX random panel, now work reliably. - Video, image, and 3D media you drag onto a VX layer — or that a scene references from a file on disk — now saves into the scene's media library just like media added through the file picker, so it survives reload, the detached window, and copy/paste, and large files are no longer blocked by the import size limit.
- VX no longer offers MKV and AVI video files, which could import but never play.
- Song Mode: a node's Variation picker now offers all eight slots (CELL1 previously showed only the first).

Added
- The Free Sequencer now carries a master pattern. Draw one step contour and every ParamSeq routed to Free follows it live, so a single gesture drives many parameters at once while each row keeps its own strength, polarity, and smoothing. Edit a routed row's steps to detach just that row from the master; set its source back to Free to rejoin.
- Tape, Limiter, and Punch expanded editors
Improved
- Mixer channel updates
Fixed
- Windows sequence issue
- Experimental Plugin hosting updates
1.5.4

Fixed
- Overlapping notes of the same pitch in the step sequencer could cut each other short.
- Sequencer notes and drum hits landing exactly on the beat grid no longer double-trigger at certain tempo/buffer settings (a flam or louder hit, most often on Windows).
- Downloading a preset pack from the Pack Store could fail with "Failed to install pack assets" on Windows when your temporary folder was on a different drive from your preset library — packs now install correctly even when those folders live on separate drives.

Added
- Draw your own Amp Envelope on a cell — a free-form gain contour over a set Time window — on both the sampler (the envelope button by the waveform) and the Drum Synth, on top of the existing fades and Attack.
- Every curve editor (the LFO Custom shape, the amp envelopes, and the Drum Synth Wave) now shares a Shape Library — save and recall your own curve shapes, plus a set of built-in presets.
- Save Cell / Load Cell — right-click a cell to save its sound, sample, parameters, sequences, and all modulation to a file, then drop it into any patch with its modulation merged in automatically.
- Drum Synth Wave engine: draw your own single-cycle waveform, then the Draw knob blends it against the factory wavetables — fully modulatable and automatable.
- Slice Keymap now works in Mono — each new key chokes the slice still playing, so you can jam a chopped break or vocal off a keyboard without slices piling up.
- New Beats time-stretch mode keeps drum transients sharp while following the tempo — pick it per sampler cell (Stretch → Beats) or per looper track.
- New Dark / Light / Mono appearance switch in theme settings; Mono is a black-and-white look that takes status colours to grey for a pure monochrome feel.
- Theme colours are now an Accent Color hue picker plus a Background contrast slider, both saved with your theme and presets.
- Jump a cell straight to its Sampler, Drum Synth, Browse, Pattern, or Effects page with Alt + Shift + 1–5.
- Set a cell's playable note range (Low / High) and Root key from its MIDI (Poly) menu — for both Poly play and Mono Slice Keymap.
- Starting a new preset with unsaved changes now asks whether to save first (Save / Discard / Cancel).
Changed
- The VX scene is now one workspace-wide scene driven by all 8 cells; selecting or editing a cell no longer changes the video view or marks it unsaved.
- VX video, image, and 3D imports now store files up to 100 MB in the library.
- VX layer file names now display compactly while keeping the extension visible.
- Drum Synth machines now respond to MIDI velocity with the same dynamic range as a sampled cell — soft hits stay quiet and accents punch through.
Fixed
- Popping a cell into its own window now shows the sampler's slice details instead of an empty slicer, and they reappear reliably after loading a preset.
- VX effects that react to a cell's level now move smoothly instead of stepping.
- VX 3D model layers (
.obj,.fbx,.ply, glTF, Gaussian-splat) now reload correctly from a saved scene. - Saving a VX scene with ⌘/Ctrl+S now works reliably, and loading a preset no longer changes which scene the VX window has open.

Added
- Effects now open in pop-out windows with a larger, detachable view of their controls and visualizers.
- Gate adds a Custom program: build your own beat-repeat sequence step by step.
- Delay adds Ping-Pong for stereo-bouncing echoes and Tilt to darken or brighten each repeat.
- Drop an image onto a cell to render it into sound by brightness, height, and color.
- Image drop offers duration, band count, and frequency-range options, and can keep the image as cell artwork.
- Random Slices adds an Auto Slice option that chops samples into a random number of slices at random positions.
- Notochord Co-Player is an experimental live AI improviser that generates complementary MIDI from your playing and selected cells.
- Co-Player controls are now modulation targets for LFOs, envelopes, macros, and DAW automation.
- Stable Audio 3 sample generation is an experimental on-device tool for creating one-shots and loops from text prompts.
- Magenta RealTime is an experimental Apple Silicon generative instrument that plays prompt-conditioned sounds per cell.
- AI model management now downloads, loads, unloads, and deletes Notochord, Stable Audio 3, and Magenta models from Settings > Experimental.
- The retrigger knob's right-click menu adds a Volume Decay toggle (on by default) — each ratchet repeat plays progressively quieter for natural roll fades.
- The sequencer adds a Follow option in the pattern header: point a cell at another to play that cell's note, pitch, stretch, and slice sequences through its own sound.
- Added EQ-8, an eight-band parametric EQ, to the cell effects.
- Slices can now be reversed individually from the slice properties panel.
- The sample browser right-click menu adds Load to Cells, loading one sample into several cells at once.
- New preset packs now show a launch notice and a badge in the preset browser.
- Right-click a cell's FX rack to hide unused effect units or show them all.
Changed
- Drum Synth is now a standard feature and no longer needs enabling under Settings > Experimental.
- A cell's Compressor now listens to its own signal by default.
- Cloud stretch now respects playback mode: Trigger and Gate play once, while Loop scans continuously.
- Apple Silicon Macs now require macOS 14 or later, while Intel Macs still support macOS 12 or later.
Improved
- Experimental AI model settings now share a consistent layout with concise usage hints.
- Plugin hosting reliability is improved for playback, sync, restore, latency, and compatibility.
- EQ and Filter now show a live spectrum analyzer.
- Editing one effect across all cells now opens in its own detachable overlay.
- Detached effect windows show and toggle the on/off LED and follow the window scale.
- The Gate Custom editor adds a moving playhead and signed pitch per step.
- Drum cells are grouped in the 8-cell view, and Drum Synth knobs sit on labeled panels.
- Video randomization now uses only on-brand and uploaded fonts.
Fixed
- An effect switched on by Randomize could get stuck half-on so the power button never turned it off.
- Randomizing a knob on an effect left it switched off, so the change was inaudible.
- The Moog filter was noticeably quieter than other filter types across the resonance range.
- An effect's level meter kept glowing as if signal were flowing while the effect was switched off.
- Fixed offline license activation staying locked after importing an offline license file.
- Sequencer randomization and Generate Pattern now follow the selected grid division and preserve existing steps while shuffling values.
- Double-clicking a sample or pressing Load/Enter now switches that cell to sampler view.
- The piano-roll keyboard no longer appears on non-Poly pattern views.
- SEQ UNIT no longer resets to 1/4 when loading presets without their own grid setting.
- VX now floats above the plugin by default and no longer disappears when focus changes.
- VX now keeps your layers, effects, and bindings when its window is closed and reopened.
- Fixed a crash when adding a Camera layer in VX; camera layers now start switched off.
- Presets with several full variations could quietly stop saving new variations once the saved data grew too large — the extra variation simply wouldn't persist. Variations are now stored far more compactly, so all eight slots save reliably even on heavy 8-cell presets. Re-saving an affected preset upgrades it automatically.
- The video randomizer could fetch images from external sites without consent; it is now opt-in.
- Video bindings could be lost, flood the undo history, or fail to clone on paste.
- Pattern lanes were misaligned in single-cell view at scaled window sizes.
1.4.59
2026-06-03Download ↗
Added
- Added MCP control of VX: AI agents can build video layers, FX chains, and audio-reactive bindings.
- Added Gaussian Blur to VX.
- Added Impulse mode to VX bindings: Pulse and Latch one-shot triggers with a Fire button.
- Added an Attack control to Drum Synth voices.
- Granular feedback for the grain cloud: Cloud-mode cells get two new controls — Feed, which loops the cloud's output back through itself for blooming, smearing, regenerating textures (push it for long, lush washes — the loop is gain-limited so it always decays, never runs away), and Tone, a tilt EQ on the feedback that darkens it for dub/fog or brightens it for shimmer. The feedback follows your grain size, so it stays musical across the whole range. Off by default.
- Piano Roll view toggle: a piano button in the pattern toolbar opens that cell's pattern straight into the full piano roll — no more drilling into the note lane and switching there. The choice is remembered per cell, so the cell reopens in the piano roll.
Improved
- Beta feature toggles now live in their own Experimental tab in Settings, moved out of the Account tab so they're easier to find.
- Drum Synth Tune now shows cents off the nearest note.
- Smoother Piano Roll: playback and note editing no longer redraw the whole grid each frame, so dragging notes and the moving playhead stay fluid on busy patterns.
Fixed
- Cloud stretch now retriggers reliably: each note or sequencer step replays the sample from the start, like every other engine. Previously a sequenced Cloud cell could fall silent after the first hit on a sample with a long tail.
- Fixed the standalone app's transport not starting on some output devices: with built-in laptop speakers or headphones selected, the Play button and spacebar did nothing. PAM now plays on any output device, and it reliably remembers your chosen audio device between launches — so when you reconnect your interface after using the laptop speakers, it's selected again automatically.
1.4.58

Added
- Randomize Sequencer: a bar-synced step sequence at the bottom of the randomizer menu (right-click the dice). Press Run and each step fires Randomize — at an Off / Subtle / Medium / Wild level you set per step — on the categories you've enabled, looping in time with the transport. Choose how many bars each step lasts (1, 2, 4, or 8) and the pattern length (8 or 16 steps).
- Synth is now in the randomizer category grid, so the spring randomizer and Randomize Sequencer can roll built-in synth engines and musical synth params alongside samples, MIDI, params, FX, envelopes, LFOs, Vary, and ParamSeq when Drum Synth is enabled.
- Drum Synth Pitch: pitched engines (808, FM, Pluck, Bell, Kick, Tom, Conga, Cowbell, Rim, Zap, Wave, Chaos) gain a Pitch control in semitones — automate it on a lane to play a melodic line like an 808 bassline, modulate it, or transpose the whole kit with the macro. A live note readout shows the engine's tuned note and frequency. (Playing a melody from a MIDI keyboard still uses Poly mode.)
Improved
- Randomizer categories now use one compact grid, and randomize actions flash the affected header dice/category tiles; Randomize Sequencer steps pulse when they actually fire.
- Drum Synth now opens in its own full cell view, from a Synth tab next to Sampler.
- Drum Synth knobs now read in real units — Hz, kHz, ms/s, note names, ratios and percentages — instead of 0–1, and you can double-click to type an exact value (e.g. set Tune to a note, or a filter to 2.4 kHz).

Added
- VX: a new live, audio-reactive video synthesizer, now available by default from the view menu (right-click the view buttons → VX) — no longer behind Experimental.
- Pre/Post tap switch for envelope followers, in the cell modulation panel and the Envelope editor.
- Gate mode to ParamSeq: steps advance one per source-cell trigger instead of the transport clock.
Fixed
- Stepped ParamSeq values reached the Drum Synth one step late when a hit landed on a step boundary.
- Drum Synth voices now follow MIDI note pitch in Poly mode, matching sampler keytracking.
1.4.56

Added
- Added Drum Synth (Experimental Mode): each cell can run one of 17 built-in synth machines instead of or alongside its sample.
- Added Tape on the master track: saturation, warmth, and wow/flutter colour with Clean, Lo-Fi, and Broken modes.
- Added Sample Gain in the cell menu: permanently render a loaded sample louder or quieter without changing the original file.
- Added Sequentix Cirklon support: auto-detected with a matching MIDI map and a ready-made Cirklon instrument definition for PAM.
- Added Slice to Sequence for turning a sliced loop into a step sequence.
- Added drum-machine groove templates to Swing (right-click the Swing knob): Classic, MPC, SP-1200, DR-660, and DR-5 timing and accents.
- The looper crossfader has a new curve option (right-click it): Blend keeps the original mix-fade, while Full holds both Main and Loop at full level through the center, matching the CTRL crossfader.
- Added a looper routing option (right-click the looper crossfader): Post keeps the looper after the master chain as before, while Pre runs the looper through the master compressor, tape, limiter, and master FX with the rest of the mix.
Improved
- Loop BPM menu now shows the detected tempo and the project tempo Warp targets.
- Detect Loop BPM stays available after analysis, so the detected tempo is no longer lost.
Fixed
- The interface could stutter or briefly freeze while moving the mouse, especially on busy views with many knobs; hover tooltips no longer slow the rest of the UI, and turning tooltips off now fully disables the hover tracking.
- AI sample generation produced noise instead of the requested sound for short one-shots like kicks and snares.
- After an AI generation finished, the preview auditioned the previously generated sample instead of the new one.
- The slice sequencer lane showed every step at the same slice instead of the slice that played.
- The slice lane did not update after re-slicing a sample to a new slice count.
- Warping a loop played only part of the clip when the sample was previously trimmed or sliced.
- Loading a new sample mid-warp left the loop menu without Detect or Warp options.
- Loading a preset with no saved tempo inherited the previous preset's tempo.
- Cell Stop did not stop a sample preview playing in that cell.
- Per-cell Stop could leave notes hanging when the cell used a different MIDI channel.
- Right-clicking the FM knob closed the Pitch/FM panel underneath it.
- New Instance opened the new window behind the spawning PAM on macOS instead of bringing it to the front.
- Spacebar did not start the standalone transport on launch until you clicked into the window.
- Exporting a slice ignored its pitch, stretch, fades, and reverse.

Added
- AI Sample Generation (Preview): Generate one-shots and loops from text prompts using on-device AI. Download models once from Settings — generation runs entirely on your Mac, no internet required. Includes per-cell refine, extend, and style-transfer from the sparkle menu.
- Slice Mode. Per-slice dropdown in the slice context menu — choose One Shot, Playthrough, Gate, Loop, or Ping Pong to control how each slice plays back.
Fixed
- macOS Monterey (12) and other older macOS versions no longer show a black screen on plugin launch. The interface now renders correctly on older system WebViews.
Changed
- FM Amount is now a knob and accepts modulation. The Pitch FM panel (per-cell and CTRL ALL) shows FM Amount as a proper knob with LFO / envelope / Vary / ParamSeq / MIDI mapping support — same surface as every other modulatable knob in PAM.

Added
- Full-screen step sequencer. A Sampler / Pattern toggle in the cell-grid toolbar swaps the eight-cell grid for the stacked step sequencer across all eight cells. Esc returns to the cells.
- Cross-cell pitch FM. Use another cell's audio as a fast pitch modulator. Three new knobs sit next to Pitch: FM Source, FM Amount, FM Polarity.
- Pitch-tracking envelope follower. Per envelope link, choose
AMP(broadband),BOOST(reacts harder on a tuned pitch), orDUCK(reacts harder away from it). Source cell followsSIDECHAIN FROM. Resonance / Damp / Mix / Tune / Glide shape the filter per cell. Audible output is untouched — this only shapes what the follower hears. - Slice Keymap: in Poly mode, incoming MIDI notes can now select slices by index (root → slice 1, root+1 → slice 2, …) at native pitch, with a per-cell termination policy (Boundary / Sample End / Note Off) — recordable into the cell's MIDI sequence.
Fixed
- The XY pad now follows DAW automation of the X and Y axes — the dot moves with the host even when the parameter it controls is a macro.
- macOS Tahoe (26): linked sample folders no longer go blank after relaunching. Folder permissions now persist across sessions. If a previously linked folder is still empty, click Re-authorize next to it in Settings → Linked Folders and re-pick the same folder.
- The X and Y axes can be MIDI-mapped directly: they appear under "XY Pad" in the parameter dropdown.
- Cell trigger, mute, and solo MIDI targets now appear in Settings → Mappings, including fixed per-cell actions for controller pads and notes.
- Moving the XY pad no longer records automation on the underlying target parameter — only on the X / Y axes themselves.

Added
- Visuals rebuilt as a stack of typed layers. Add Video, Image, Text, Drawing, 3D Model, or Adjustment layers from the left panel; each carries its own position, scale, rotation, blend mode, and opacity, and can be reordered, soloed, hidden, or duplicated. Per-layer FX chain with hue rotate, glow, and audio-react; right-click any FX param to bind it to bass / mids / highs / level / beat phase / transient via the Mod panel. Adjustment layers apply FX to everything below.
- Added Auto Variate to the Variation menu.
- Ability to lock a single row within modulation table to prevent it from being randomized.
- 15 visual FX restored from the previous engine: shake, rolls, barrel blur, edge, halftone, patches, brightness/contrast, lines, feedback, warp, datamosh, slicer, polar slit scan, cell voronoi, and spectral zones. Pixelate now offers quantize and palette-shift; glow gains brightness and threshold for bright-pass bloom.
- Video transport, bar, and BPM controls in the Visuals header so you can drive the scene without leaving the page.
- Export Video renders the visual scene with a perfectly synchronized audio render — pick duration, encoder (WebM, MP4, MOV), and save mode, then render. WebM files are muxed offline so the audio is sample-accurate.
Improved
- Audio-reactive visual modulation now actually reacts to audio. Right-click any visual control (FX param or layer transform) to bind it to the master audio level, bass / mids / highs, transients, beat / bar / loop phase, individual cell signals, or any plugin parameter's live value. Each binding has its own curve (Linear / Exp / ExpInverse / Bipolar), attack and release smoothing, and amount.
- FX list shows a small badge (static / temporal / reactive) so it's clear which FX are audio-driven on their own and which expect mod bindings. Trails and Beam are now offered only on Drawing and Text layers, where they're meant to be used.
- Visual mod sources now include BPM, spectral centroid, spectral flux, stereo width, vary activity, and slow phrase-scale level/bass — bind any of these to any FX param via right-click. Cell Voronoi cells now breathe with the per-cell audio levels.
- Beam FX on Drawing layers now traces the actual stroke path. New Head, Trail, and Contour controls drive a moving phosphor head along the strokes — bind Head to Bar Phase or Loop Phase for a transport-synced sweep. Drawings with no strokes and Text layers fall back to the previous full-frame beam behavior.
- FX panel adds a "dynamic" badge for self-animating FX (Shake, Vibration, Rolls, Warp) — separate from "temporal" (which keeps history). Shake and Vibration gain a Rate slider to control animation speed.
- Edge FX now defaults to white edges; raise the new Tint slider to mix in the spectral hue.
- Brightness/Contrast gains a Saturation slider (also renamed B/C/S).
- Halftone dot count goes down to 10 for chunkier dot patterns.
- Datamosh: Freeze is now a binary toggle, Block range extended up to 128.
- Spectral Zones gains a Mode toggle (radial rings ↔ vertical gradient).
- Pixelate Quantize is now discrete (off / 4 / 8 / 16 / 32 / 64) for predictable snaps.
- Patches gains Range and Seed sliders so the shuffle stays under control.
- Removed Scanlines (Lines covers it with tilt = 0).
- Removed Scale FX (use the layer's transform Scale slider).
- FX add menu now groups effects by kind (static / dynamic / temporal / reactive) and closes when you click outside it. Effects in revision show a colored warning icon next to their name (yellow = needs polish, red = known broken).
- Glow uses a 33-tap ring kernel instead of a cross — no more visible "ghost copies" at high radius.
- Cell Voronoi gains a Cells slider (1-32) with sunflower-spiral site placement; small cell counts feel intimate, large counts approach a tessellation pattern.
- Datamosh redesigned: now mirrors the original "I-frame holdback" effect — high-motion regions of a video smear behind their motion vectors while static backgrounds pass through. Threshold sets the motion gate; Block goes up to 128.
- Edge FX now outputs only the edges (transparent background) so layers below show through.
- Pixelate Quantize is a clean toggle: off = free pixel size, on = snap to nearest power-of-two.
- Vibration animation freezing at high Rate values is fixed.
- Warp Speed renamed to Rate to match other dynamic FX.
- Native image and text rendering. Imported images render as the actual image (no more edge-traced wireframes) and text renders as readable glyphs.
- 3D model layer (.glb / .gltf / .obj / .fbx) with HDRI environments, camera presets, and transport-synced animation.
- Recording controls cleaned up: the right-click menu on REC is now a single shortcut to the Export dialog (which holds all the encoder, duration, and save-mode options).
- Older macOS and Windows WebViews render the interface correctly.
- Dragging controls is more stable on Windows.
- Pitch Shift mode enters warped playback faster after reset.
- UI optimizations.
Fixed
- Video export with audio now works reliably — the rendered audio file is located via an explicit export-folder lookup instead of relying on a relative path that could miss.
- Looper Overdub could miss existing warped layers.
- Realtime Warp could fade into silence after direction changes.
- Tuner tracking could drift on rising low notes.
Removed
- Legacy video engine and its monolithic FX/mod panel. Visual presets made before this release must be re-saved.

- Drag and drop multiple samples onto a cell to build a sample chain in place. The files are stitched into one sample and the slicer is armed with a slice per source, so you can throw together drum kits or one-shot chains without leaving PAM.
- Always Listen + Capture Now for the Looper. Right-click the Looper header button to open the capture menu.
- Send Timing to ParamSeq. Right-click a Pitch, Slice, or Stretch lane to copy its trigger positions and gate lengths onto any ParamSeq on the same cell, with the ParamSeq's bar length auto-aligned so the modulation fires on the same beats as the notes.
- Sequential Fill generator for pitch, slice, and stretch sequencers. Writes consecutive fragment numbers (1, 2, 3, …) across the steps.
Improved
- Looper maximum loop length raised from 16 to 32 bars.
- Pitch Shift mode improved.
Fixed
- Looper recordings could click at the loop wrap when a cell was triggered on the bar downbeat. Recording start is now strictly bar-aligned so the next bar's transient never leaks into the loop tail.
- Staircase generator skipped fragments on slice sequences. Each plateau now snaps to a real fragment number.
