# getFileContent

`GET https://api.map.audio/v1/files/{id}/content`

Download a file

Redirects (302) to a signed link for the file's bytes, valid for one hour; the link needs no Authorization header. Job outputs already carry such a link in `url`; use this route for a fresh one. Free.

Auth: `Authorization: Bearer` with an API key or a map.audio access token. Not an MCP tool: Answers with a redirect to raw bytes, which a tool result cannot carry; get_job lists each output with a signed download url.

## Parameters

## Responses

- `302`: Redirect to the signed download link.
- `410`: File no longer stored
- `default`: Any other error: `error.code` names it, `error.param` the field at fault, and `error.docUrl` its entry in the error catalogue.
